I have a simple question about Scooter Libby's commutation: Tony Snow said Libby will have a hard time making a living as a lawyer due to his felony conviction. This is a man who was Chief of Staff to the Vice President of the United States. He's a lobbyist's dream.
Does Snow really believe Libby ever had any intention to return to arguing cases in court after leaving the Whitehouse?

Perhaps not, but don't forget that much of the post-office income for past administration officials comes from serving in an "of counsel" position to large law firms--it's not arguing cases, more of a sale of the use of one's name--but it's a lucrative practice that is unavailable to one who's been disbarred (as well it should be).
The more significant issue seems to be that felony convictions are MEANT to prohibit people who have committed felonies from earning a living as attorneys!
